Project Description

It seeks to bridge the gap between their lack of formal education and entry into the labour market by equipping them with skills necessary for competitive participation in the labour market.

Skills Gained

The project is the first of its kind in the workings of ILIDP.

It takes both literate and illiterate youth and teaches them a skill in;

  • Motor vehicle Mechanics
  • Carpentry
  • Solar maintenance
  • Dressmaking, Tailoring
  • Hairdressing
  • Life skills and Entrepreneurship.

The youth are trained under a L4W project of Edukans Foundation. The project is implemented through a PPP model of local and Dutch partners.
